The academic core of the Friends’ Central School campus was crisscrossed by driveways, parking areas, and pedestrian paths. The intensity of use and poor drainage added to the well-worn, disconnected appearance. Glackin Thomas Panzak prepared a design that transformed the campus core into a central green space, linking the campus entrance with the adjacent academic buildings. The campus oval contains a hierarchy of walkways, materials, and alignments that match student travel-ways.
